Ansley Gratzmiller, a fourth-grade student at Buist Academy for Advanced Studies, won the 2025 South Carolina Children's Book Challenge for her book, Electra, A Girl's Journey to Electrical Safety. The challenge, sponsored by Berkeley Electric Cooperative and the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina, invited students to write and illustrate a book about staying safe around electricity. Ansley's book, which tells the story of a girl learning about electrical safety with the help of supernatural visitors, will be printed and distributed to elementary schools across South Carolina.
