Allows municipalities and counties to construct speed-control devices in residential areas and school zones.

This bill amends the South Carolina Code to allow municipalities and counties to construct and maintain speed-control devices in residential areas and school zones. The devices, which must be mounds or ribs not exceeding six inches in height, are intended to slow traffic. The speed limit in these areas must be posted at twenty-five to thirty miles per hour, with warning signs erected for the devices. The bill takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
