Amends the South Carolina Code to classify assault and battery as a high and aggravated nature when it results in great bodily injury, is accomplished by means likely to produce death or great bodily injury, or injures a federal, state, or local law enforcement officer, corrections officer, healthcare professional, healthcare worker, emergency response employee, or educational professional during the performance of their official duties. Such offenses are considered felonies, punishable by imprisonment.
