Food labeling

Chamber Passed·4/15/26

Requires shrimp and shrimp products sold in South Carolina to be labeled with the country of origin.

This bill amends the South Carolina Code to mandate that shrimp and shrimp products sold in the state must be labeled with the country of origin. A violation of this requirement is considered a prohibited act under existing law. The act will take effect upon approval by the Governor.
