Complete·7/1/26

Requires shrimp and shrimp products sold in South Carolina to be labeled with the country of origin.

This bill amends the South Carolina Code to mandate that shrimp and shrimp products sold in the state must have a label indicating the country of origin. It also requires commercial food establishments serving shrimp or shrimp products to display the country of origin on their menus. A violation of this requirement is considered a prohibited act. The act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
