The Boosting Opportunities for Small Startups (BOSS) Act provides tax exemptions for small businesses in South Carolina. Eligible businesses must be newly established, generate less than three million dollars in annual revenue, and employ fewer than fifty full-time employees. These businesses are exempt from state corporate income tax for the first two years of operation. After the initial two years, tax liability gradually increases to full tax rate by the fifth year.
