This resolution recognizes and commends Charleston native Linda Jean Harvey for her achievements and a lifetime of service to her community. Linda Harvey founded the Divine Iambic Dancers School for the Performing Arts in 1981 and served as its artistic director for over twenty-five years. She has performed in venues around the Charleston area and collaborated with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Linda Harvey also taught African dance classes at the College of Charleston and is a member of the Gamma Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
