Amends the Darlington County millage levy process for the Florence-Darlington Technical College budget approval.
This bill amends Act 571 of 1965 to change the approval process for the Florence-Darlington Technical College budget. Instead of the county board of education, the Darlington County Council will now review and approve the itemized budget of the Florence-Darlington Technical Education Center. The county board council will make any necessary adjustments and its approval will authorize the county auditor to levy the necessary tax on all taxable property in Darlington County. This change takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies to Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
