Allows electric battery-powered vehicles to exceed weight limits by up to 2,000 pounds each.

The bill amends South Carolina law to allow electric battery-powered vehicles to exceed gross, single axle, tandem axle, or bridge formula weight limits by up to 2,000 pounds each, up to a maximum gross vehicle weight of eighty-two thousand pounds. This allowance applies both within the state and on interstates, where federal law permits. The change takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
