This resolution recognizes and honors Kenneth Singleton for his dedication to community service and congratulates him for the significant contributions of Singleton's Barbershop to his community. The barbershop, the oldest Black-owned business in Beaufort, has served as a meeting place for mentoring young men and boys, producing community leaders and professional athletes, and employing youth, physically challenged members, and single parents. Singleton has also mentored his cousin, Larry Schepper, who helped high school students receive college scholarships in tennis.
