South Carolina H3874 amends the Workers' Compensation Act to allow the Workers' Compensation Commission to adjust medical fee schedules annually. The commission can establish criteria for maximum allowable payments for medical services provided by medical practitioners, excluding hospital inpatient services, hospital outpatient services, and ambulatory surgery centers. Adjustments to existing fee schedules cannot exceed the percentage change indicated by a federally funded program. The commission must conduct an evidentiary hearing for adjustments exceeding ten percent annually.
