Transportation improvement projects must cover relocation costs for water, sewer, and broadband lines.
This bill amends South Carolina law to require entities undertaking transportation improvement projects to cover relocation costs for public water systems, public sewer systems, and broadband service lines. For small utilities, the project must cover all relocation costs. For large utilities, the project must cover up to four percent of the original construction bid amount.
