This bill amends the South Carolina Code to allow state employees who are enlisted or commissioned members of the National Guard or reserve components to receive up to 30 days of paid military leave annually. This leave is in addition to the 15 days already provided for training or other duties. The leave is also extended to 30 days for those who serve in a combat zone and have exhausted their other leave. The leave can be taken in either calendar or fiscal years, depending on the issuing orders. The amendment aims to encourage full participation in National Guard and reserve programs.
