Amends South Carolina law to define "supported spouse" for alimony purposes.

This bill amends South Carolina law to define "supported spouse" as the party who receives financial support from their spouse or former spouse after a separation or divorce due to their income being below the threshold necessary to pay bills, support children, or support themselves. The bill also modifies the conditions under which alimony may be granted in divorce and separate maintenance cases. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
