South Carolina H3583 establishes a minimum wage scale for public school support staff, increasing wages based on years of service.

South Carolina H3583 amends the state code to establish a minimum wage scale for public school support staff. The minimum hourly wage starts at ten dollars for a first-year employee and increases by ten percent for each additional year of service. If the federal minimum wage exceeds ten dollars an hour, the minimum wage for support staff must be forty percent above the federal minimum wage for a first-year employee, with a ten percent increase for each additional year of service.
