South Carolina H3572 prohibits public higher education institutions from using political ideology in admissions or employment decisions.

South Carolina H3572 amends the state code to prohibit public institutions of higher learning from using political ideology or statements on faculty or employees to provide reporting requirements. The bill clarifies that institutions cannot promote or engage in differential treatment, grant or deny admission or benefits to a student, or hire or promote a faculty member or employee based on political promises or declarations regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, or other associated political issues.
