Prohibit use of public funds to purchase U.S. or South Carolina flags unless made in the U.S.

The bill amends South Carolina law to prohibit state departments, agencies, institutions, and political subdivisions, including school districts, from using public funds to purchase flags of the United States or the State of South Carolina unless the flags are made entirely in the United States from articles, materials, or supplies grown or produced in the United States. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
