South Carolina H3337, known as the "Aging with Dignity Act," introduces a $1,000 income tax credit for taxpayers who care for a senior family member living in their home. To qualify, the taxpayer must obtain a written certification from a licensed physician confirming that the senior is unable to perform at least three activities of daily living without substantial assistance for at least six months. The Department of Revenue may create regulations to implement this provision. This act will take effect upon approval by the Governor.
