Requires law enforcement to check immigration status of all arrested persons.
Amends the South Carolina Code to mandate law enforcement agencies to verify the immigration status of all individuals they arrest using the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements Program. Requires the status to be recorded in the criminal record upon arrest or conviction. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division must annually report the number of illegal immigrants arrested and convicted. This act is named the "Citizenship Verification Act.
