Prevents insurers from denying claims for leaks if the insured was unaware of the leak.
This bill amends the South Carolina Code of Laws to prevent insurers from denying claims arising from leaks if the insured did not know about the leak and failed to repair or replace the source. Insurers can only deny such claims if the insured had actual knowledge of the leak and did not act to fix it. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
