South Carolina bill excuses school absences for students participating in work-based learning experiences.

South Carolina H3247 amends the state code to allow public school students to be excused from school for participation in certain work-based learning experiences. These experiences include organized competitions or exhibitions of Future Farmers of America (FFA) organizations or 4-H programs. The bill requires students and their parents to obtain and complete assignments missed during these excused absences. The act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
