This bill amends South Carolina law to require a master's degree for educators and the State Superintendent of Education. After July 1, 2027, educators must hold a master's degree appropriate to their teaching field and level to receive, renew, or maintain their certificates. School districts cannot employ teachers without such a degree. The State Superintendent of Education must also hold a master's degree and meet specific experience requirements in public education.
