Introduced Text

South Carolina H3200 mandates public school boards to livestream meetings and adopt livestream policies.

South Carolina H3200 requires public school boards, including charter and special schools, to livestream their meetings and adopt livestream policies. These policies must include resources, recommendations, and best practices for real-time streaming and posting meeting content within two business days. The State Board of Education must adopt a model livestream policy, which local boards must revise into their local policy within three months. Governing bodies can only adopt or revise policies at regularly scheduled, livestreamed meetings.
