South Carolina H3150 prohibits custodial arrest for traffic offenses not involving alcohol or substance use.

South Carolina H3150 amends Chapter 7, Title 56 of the S.C. Code by adding Section 56-7-90. This provision states that a person cannot be placed under custodial arrest if charged with a traffic offense that does not involve the unlawful use of alcohol or any other substance for which a uniform traffic ticket is issued. The act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
