Limits periodic alimony to marriages lasting at least fifteen years.

This bill amends South Carolina law to limit the award of periodic alimony to marriages lasting at least fifteen years. It allows for the termination of alimony upon the remarriage or continued cohabitation of the supported spouse or upon the death of either spouse. The alimony can be reviewed and revised based on future changed circumstances. The act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
