Changes transfer eligibility for certain criminal cases from general sessions court in South Carolina.

This bill amends South Carolina law to allow the transfer of criminal cases from general sessions court if the penalty does not exceed three years in prison, five thousand five hundred dollars in fines, or both. Previously, the limit was one year in prison. The change applies to cases charged or re-charged under a plea agreement. The amendment takes effect upon the governor's approval.
