Introduced·1/14/25
Introduced Text

Repeals laws on ephedrine and pseudoephedrine sales and monitoring in South Carolina.

The bill repeals Section 44-53-398 of the South Carolina Code, which pertains to the sale of nonprescription products containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine. It also repeals Article 14 of Chapter 3, Title 23, which relates to the SLED Electronic Monitoring System for tracking the sale of such products. This change would remove the legal framework for regulating and monitoring these substances in nonprescription products.
