Rhode Island S3355 allows the city of Cranston to issue up to $25,000,000 in general obligation bonds, notes, and other debt instruments to fund the purchase, construction, renovation, and equipping of schools. The proceeds can be used for land acquisition, building construction, landscaping, and furnishing. The bonds are not eligible for state aid reimbursement unless approved by the Rhode Island Department of Education. The act requires voter approval before taking effect.
