Rhode Island S3265 exempts certain vehicles from displaying a front registration plate if not equipped with a manufacturer-provided bracket.

Rhode Island S3265 amends the state's vehicle registration laws to exempt certain vehicles from the requirement to display a front registration plate. This exemption applies to vehicles not manufactured with a front plate registration bracket. Instead, these vehicles must have one registration plate attached to the rear and carry a second plate within the vehicle, to be displayed by the driver upon request by law enforcement. The bill takes effect immediately upon passage.
