Rhode Island S3128 amends the Rhode Island Cannabis Act to establish annual appropriations for the substance use mental health leadership council. The bill allocates $200,000 to address hazardous and underage cannabis use through alternatives, education, and environmental strategies. Additionally, it provides $500,000 for a public-facing web and social media presence and ongoing media campaigns. The cannabis control commission must report annually on the usage of these funds by October 1. This act takes effect upon passage.
