Rhode Island S3031 authorizes the town of North Providence to impose an emergency moratorium on housing projects proposing 250 or more units until the permit requirements of § 45-53-4 are amended. This moratorium can be enacted if the town faces an aggregate of 250 or more units in comprehensive permit projects. The moratorium prohibits the town from accepting or processing further applications during this period. The act takes effect upon passage.
