Rhode Island S2924 allows non-union employees to form a group for collective bargaining with employers.

Rhode Island S2924 amends the Labor Relations Act to allow employees not represented by a union to create a group for collective bargaining with employers. Employees must demonstrate majority support through signed cards. If at least 30% of employees sign, an election is requested; if over 50% sign, the election is waived. The bill also includes provisions for employee lists, orientation meetings, and neutrality from management during the process. This act takes effect upon passage.
