Rhode Island S2914 allows Smithfield to enact a moratorium on housing projects if 250 or more units are proposed.

Rhode Island S2914 authorizes the town of Smithfield to enact an emergency moratorium on processing housing applications if 250 or more units are proposed in comprehensive permit projects. The moratorium can continue until the permit requirements in § 45-53-4 are amended. The moratorium takes effect upon passage of the bill.
