Rhode Island S2855 allows students diagnosed with asthma or conditions leading to bronchospasm or anaphylaxis to carry and self-administer asthma.

Rhode Island S2855 mandates the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or the Department of Health to create policies allowing students diagnosed with asthma, bronchospasm, or anaphylaxis to carry and self-administer asthma medication or epinephrine during school hours, at school events, or on school buses. Schools must ensure these students have access to at least two doses of nasal or injectable glucagon.
