Exempts certain cookware containing FDA-authorized PFAS from the Consumer PFAS Ban Act of 2024.

Rhode Island S2792 amends the Consumer PFAS Ban Act of 2024 to exempt certain cookware containing perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) that are authorized by the FDA for food contact for consumer goods. This exemption applies to the ban on manufacturing, selling, offering for sale, or distributing for sale products containing intentionally added PFAS. The act takes effect upon passage.
