Rhode Island S2772 amends registration requirements for architecture firms and individual architects.

Rhode Island S2772 modifies the registration process for architecture firms and individual architects. It requires two-thirds of the directors, officers, or managers of a firm to be registered to practice architecture. Firms must file information about their business organization and obtain a certificate of authorization from the board. Certificates of authorization and registration are valid for two years. The act also allows a six-month grace period for firms undergoing ownership transitions. The changes take effect on January 1, 2027.
