Rhode Island S2741 allows retired teachers and state/municipal workers to be reemployed without losing retirement benefits if they reside in Rhode.

Rhode Island S2741 permits retired teachers, state, and municipal workers to be reemployed without forfeiting their retirement benefits, provided they reside in Rhode Island for at least 270 days in a calendar year and their annual income from all sources is less than $55,000. Employers and retired members must notify the state retirement board monthly of the reemployment. This act would take effect upon passage.
