Rhode Island S2700 authorizes Middletown to offer property tax exemptions to veterans honorably discharged from military or naval service.

Rhode Island S2700 amends the General Laws to allow the town of Middletown to adopt, by ordinance, a veterans’ property tax exemption for any veteran honorably discharged from military or naval service, regardless of the dates or periods of service. The exemption can apply to both real and personal property. The bill takes effect upon passage.
