Rhode Island S2592 amends the Rhode Island Fair Housing Practices Act to clarify enforcement of housing-status protections, prohibit discriminatory housing notices, and align state law with federal standards. The bill removes a ban on public discussion of fair housing cases. It defines "assistance animal" and clarifies protections for persons with such animals, consistent with the federal Fair Housing Act.
