Rhode Island S2581 allows Tiverton to enact a moratorium on comprehensive permit projects with 500 or more units until permit laws are amended.

Rhode Island S2581 permits the town of Tiverton to impose a short-term emergency moratorium on comprehensive permit projects involving 500 or more units. This moratorium can be enacted until the permit laws are amended. During the moratorium, the town will not accept or process further applications. The moratorium does not affect applications submitted before the moratorium was enacted. This act takes effect upon passage.
