Rhode Island S2569 mandates that all major hospitals constructed or substantially renovated or expanded after January 1, 2028, use renewable energy.

Rhode Island S2569 requires all major hospitals within the state constructed or substantially renovated or expanded on or after January 1, 2028, to use renewable energy sources for power. The building codes standards committee would be responsible for promulgating rules and regulations to implement these requirements. This act would take effect upon passage.
