Rhode Island S2416 defines terms to allow military-connected students flexibility in choosing a school district.

Rhode Island S2416, known as the Military Child Act, defines "military-connected student," "advance enrollment," and "open enrollment." It allows students with military parents to choose their school district flexibly. Military-connected students can enroll without charge and without physical presence if parents present military orders. The act takes effect upon passage.
