Rhode Island S2414 amends the state's General Laws to allow the transfer of "Disabled Veteran" license plates to a veteran's spouse if the veteran is no longer able to operate a vehicle. The plates may also be transferred to a surviving spouse upon the veteran's death, until the spouse remarries. Only one set of "Disabled Veteran" plates can be issued to an eligible veteran or their spouse. The bill takes effect upon passage.
