This act amends the General Laws to allow parents or guardians to access GPS data of school buses or vehicles transporting students. The GPS data will include the real-time location and velocity of the vehicle. This act also mandates that all new school buses be equipped with a live digital video school bus violation detection monitoring system starting July 1, 2027, and all school buses by July 1, 2032. The systems must produce live visual images and recorded video of vehicles violating school bus traffic laws.
