Rhode Island S2386 requires health insurance providers to cover pharmacists' services, including patient evaluations, medication management, immunization education, medication administration, and clinical laboratory tests. The bill mandates that health plans include pharmacists in their provider networks and that insurers cover these services outside their network if unavailable within it. The provisions will take effect on January 1, 2027, and will expire on January 1, 2031, unless extended by the general assembly.
