Rhode Island S2362 increases the monthly minimum benefit for a spouse, domestic partner, or former spouse of a retiree. It also grants a one-time full cost of living adjustment (COLA) of 3.34% to eligible retirees who retired after July 1, 2012. The bill modifies federal adjusted gross income to reduce the amount of public pension benefits from the Rhode Island Employees Retirement System. The changes take effect upon passage.
