Rhode Island S2325 would increase the hourly minimum wage based on the Consumer Price Index for the Northeast Region starting January 1, 2028.

Rhode Island S2325 would adjust the hourly minimum wage to reflect changes in the Consumer Price Index for the Northeast Region starting January 1, 2028. The increase would be based on the total percentage increase in the CPI-U for the previous four fiscal years, but it would not exceed 12%. This act would take effect upon passage.
