Strengthens consumer protections in insurance claims by improving arbitration and appraisal proceedings.

This bill amends the General Laws to enhance consumer protections in insurance claims by ensuring the fairness and timeliness of arbitration and appraisal proceedings. It allows the court to appoint arbitrators or appraisers if parties fail to make appointments or cause delays. The bill also mandates that notice of a motion to vacate, modify, or correct an award must be served within thirty days after the award is filed or delivered. This act aims to prevent insurers from delaying or obstructing the dispute resolution process.
