Rhode Island S2288 prohibits defendants serving probation for DUI from earning good time off their probationary period.

Rhode Island S2288 amends the General Laws to prohibit defendants serving probation for driving under the influence from earning good time off their probationary period. This change applies to all individuals sentenced to probation, including those sentenced prior to the enactment of the statute. The award of probation compliance credits will be prospective only from the date of enactment of the statute.
