Introduced·1/23/26
Introduced Text

Rhode Island S2286 mandates all motorcycle operators to wear helmets regardless of age.

Rhode Island S2286 amends the state's General Laws to require all motorcycle operators to wear helmets approved by the Division of Motor Vehicles. Previously, only operators under 21 and new operators for one year were required to wear helmets. The fines for violations will fund highway safety programs. The law takes effect immediately upon passage.
