This bill amends the Rhode Island General Laws to extend teacher certifications without fee or penalty for three or five years for teachers who hold certifications as of July 1, 2026. It also waives all fees for applying for a three-year certification for teachers with three years of certified teaching experience. Additionally, the Rhode Island Department of Education will review and revise its rules and regulations to create multiple pathways for obtaining teacher and administrator certification. The changes will take effect upon passage.
